I really struggled to put my list of 20 facts about me together; it's hard to think of myself as anything other than a Mum and a Housewife lately. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not...?
- Although everyone knows me as Shay, my 'real name' is actually Sharon. I rarely use it - especially as it rhymes with my Husband's name, Aaron!
- I used to be Vegetarian...up until my second pregnancy when my little man left me craving chicken, pork and fish in copious amounts.
- I'm a chocoholic and can quite often be found scoffing chocolate bars for breakfast. Oops!
- I'm a runner and I'm going slightly stir-crazy recently as I've had to take a break due to injury and health issues. I'm hoping to be back out and about in the next few weeks *fingers crossed*
- I'm a scaredy-cat and have far too many fears to count and name.
- Despite being pretty good at killing houseplants I'm quite a keen gardener and enjoy growing our own food and flowers from seed with my two 'terrors.'
- I love the smell of freshly washed laundry.
- I can't stand the smell of cut grass - it makes me feel physically sick.
- I love to read and I have a book case filled with books from all genres.
- I'm a reality TV addict and can't get enough of MasterChef, Big Brother, Next Top Model, Dragon's Den and the likes.
- I have 5 tattoos. The most visible one, on my forearm, I absolutely hate and regret and I'm currently saving for a cover-up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll have enough to get it done as a Birthday present to myself next March.
- I love music but I am completely useless at playing any kind of instrument or singing.
- Before having my children I worked as a Senior Administrator.
- I have a huge collection of nail varnish and haven't gone a day without having my nails painted for years. I don't feel 'right' without it :/
- I am a feminist.
- Growing up I wanted to be a Legal Advisor - I even started a Law Degree at University but poor timing and health issues meant I had to leave. A part of me still hopes to enter the Legal profession one day.
- I've been with my Husband since I was 18; he was my high-school sweetheart and we've been together for 8 and a half years and married for just over 1 year.
- I'm planning on taking my two swimming during the Summer Holiday's this year and I am TERRIFIED!! I haven't been in the water since an incident in a rough sea when I was 15/16.
- I'm a home-bird and have lived in the same town all my life.
- I live in skinny jeans and t-shirts and don't have much else in my wardrobe!
I'm a home bird too I have lived in same area all my life, I love master chef and I have 5 tattoos :)

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow :) x
DeleteI'm also a total home bird :) gutted you have a tattoo you hate :( I have one I'm not keen on in that if I was to go now it wouidnt be the one I have but I don't regret it. I want more too. I love growing my own!! Xx
ReplyDeleteMe too, I have so many planned but no funds to get them done..they're so expensive!! It was a silly decision after my eldest was born and I'm so annoyed with myself for getting it done in such an obvious place. Fingers crossed that by March next year I have a beautiful floral cover-up and no-one can see the original one :) x
DeleteI have never heard the phrase home bird - is that different than home body (someone who likes to be at home)? What are you wanting for your cover tattoo? I really want my first tattoo, but I don't know how to incorporate my kids into it yet.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it means the same thing. Somebody that likes to be around the place they live and doesn't enjoy travelling too far away from it.
DeleteI'm designing my own for my cover-up, it'll be a large, colourful floral piece :) Are you on Pinterest? There is lots of wonderful tattoo ideas and inspiration on there if you're not sure quite what you'd like :) x
I'm also addicted to Next Top Model and Masterchef! I just love them!
ReplyDeleteThey're great aren't they! I love all those kind of reality TV programmes :) x
DeleteAww, you have such a sweet life. Congrats on marrying your high school sweetheart. That so rarely happens these days.
ReplyDeleteBright and Shiny
