B is for...

The children and I have doing quite a bit to encourage the birds into our garden this year. There are lots of trees from neighbouring gardens that line the outside of our little patch of green and the length of a fence covered in ivy and large plants that the visiting sparrows seem to enjoy sitting in.

We've added some bird feeders filled with fatballs to our garden and have allowed some of the trees to grow a little more naturally to make space for birds to stop by and build their nests. We've added our own bird box and the children have been making their own bird feeders for our guests to enjoy. We've had quite a few birds stop by, from larger pigeons and doves down to smaller sparrows, starlings and tits and all seem to be enjoying our garden. The kids love it!

  9. Love these pictures, and I bet spotting the birds is lots of fun. We've been trying to encourage birds into our garden but it doesn't seem to have worked at the moment...which might have something to do with the dog!
