I is for...

My two will be 4 and 5 later in the year and whilst I still have to play a variety of roles throughout my day (mainly head chef, referee and cleaner at the moment) I've started to notice just how grown up and independent they're both becoming. They are able to do so much for themselves now they're a little older and the thought of my eldest starting School in September of this year and my youngest the next is still scaring the heck out of me!!

It is wonderful being able to watch them grow into happy, independent little souls but I must admit...I am a little sad at just how quickly it's happening! Where did all those early days go to? They seemed to speed past within a handful of days and suddenly I have two terrors telling me "It's okay, I can do it myself."

  1. Gorgeous photo. It's a bit sad when they no longer need you but lovely to see them become independent

  2. Yes it's so bittersweet seeing these little ones grow up so fast. I remember holding my first born as if it was yesterday. Now he's entering 1st grade and my daughter is growing too. Oh by the way, I used to read your blogs on xanga but saw this one through pinterest. I started following you, hope you don't mind. I miss xanga but they changed it, started charging and everyone left. I remember reading back when you were expecting your oldest. I can't believe how fast those two have grown. They are both so beautiful, like their mama.

    1. Oh gosh, it's scary how quickly the years fly by when they're little! I haven't been on xanga since they changed it - I don't know why they did it, it was good as it was and, like you said, everyone pretty much left when it changed xx

  3. Great photo of you all together! It really is scary how quickly they grow up isn't it. I already have POD saying no Mummy I can do it and she's 3.5. It's a great sign of growing up though however much we don't want them too! Thanks for sharing with #alphabetphoto
