Reasons To Be Cheerful #R2BC - 02

The lovely Ojo at Ojo's World is hosting Reasons To Be Cheerful (#R2BC) this week, make sure you pop over and say hello. Can you believe it's April already?! March flew by, the whole year seems to have done that so far!

SUNSHINE!
The main reason for the big smiles plastered across the children's faces this week has been the arrival of the sunshine. We've been able to get out and enjoy the weather and our garden and local area most days; the kids are really loving it and they're excited to be getting out and exploring the garden again. They go out in most weather but it's just not the same as running around in the sun with all the flowers blooming.

GRANDAD'S 80th BIRTHDAY
My Grandad celebrated his 80th Birthday on Saturday March 29th; we enjoyed a lovely meal at a local Restaurant as a family for lunch and then made our way back to my Grandma and Grandad's house for some cake, a drink and a play in their garden. The weather was lovely, so sunny and warm..the perfect day for a birthday.

REDISCOVERING OLD TOYS
When we popped round to my Mum's on Sunday afternoon my Parents had a bit of a surprise waiting for the children..and for me too! My Dad emerged from the loft with a retro-style suitcase and upon opening it we found lots of mine and my Brother's toys that we had played with as children. It was lovely, so many happy memories are held within those toys and it was great to be able to revisit them whilst my own children discovered them for the first time.

MOTHER'S DAY
I had a really nice Mother's Day. It started with a lie-in courtesy of my wonderful Husband which I was woken from an hour or so later by two smiley children holding cards and chocolates. They wished me a Happy Mother's Day and gave me lots of kisses and cuddles..what more could I want?! We visited Aaron's Mum and Nan in the morning then popped round to my Mum and Dad's in the afternoon to wish both of our Mum's a Happy Mother's Day too. It was a lovely day with my little ones and our family.

  2. All really good reasons and the one about rediscovering all the old toys was my favourite. Good to see that your Grandad has his family around him for his birthday. Have a gorgeous sunny week ahead.

  5. Lovely reasons! I am constantly rotating my sons toys so that he would think that he is playing with new ones every time. And my mother in law is constantly giving him old toys of his dad too! #r2bc
